Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it launched the 66th wave of its retaliatory Operation True Promise 4, targeting Israeli territory and US military positions across West Asia, with the conflict now expanding to include strikes on oil refineries. In a statement on Friday, the Corps’ Public Relations Office said the latest phase was carried out “successfully”, hitting sites in central and southern Israel, including Tel Aviv, along with American bases in the region. The IRGC said the operation involved a mix of advanced missile systems and drones. Among them were the Qadr missiles, which are long range ballistic missiles capable of carrying multiple warheads and designed for precision strikes over distances of up to 2,000 km.

The Khorramshahr missile is a heavy payload ballistic system known for carrying large warheads and maintaining high accuracy. The Kheibar Shekan is a newer generation missile with improved maneuverability and guidance, designed to evade missile defence systems.

The Qiam missile, a medium range system, is notable for its lack of stabilising fins, which reduces radar detection and improves its ability to penetrate defences.
Zolfaghar missiles, also used in the strikes, are short to medium range weapons known for precision targeting, often deployed against strategic and tactical sites. The operation also included attack drones, which can loiter over targets and strike with high accuracy. The statement described the impact of the strikes on Israeli territory, saying residents faced a “life from siren to siren and the prolonged confinement of the illegal settlers of the occupied territories in shelters.”It further accused Israeli authorities of waging an “unjust war against Iran” that was doomed from the onset, while also referring to internal crises and controversies. The statement concluded with a warning, “We will not leave you; this reprisal will continue…”Operation True Promise 4 was launched following what Iran described as aggression by Israel and the United States late last month. Since then, multiple waves of strikes have hit key locations including Tel Aviv, al-Quds, Haifa, Be’er Sheva and the Negev desert.US military outposts in Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have also come under repeated attack as the conflict continues to widen across the region.
