Actor Jackie Shroff lost his cool as paparazzi asked him how he felt, while arriving to pay his final respects to legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, who died at age 92. The actor was arriving at Shivaji Park, Mumbai, to attend the final rites of the iconic figure.

Paparazzi stationed at the location asked him how he felt, forcing the actor to express his frustration. He took a moment to school the paparazzi. In a video that is going viral, Jackie Shroff is seen asking “Kasha vatnar, konachi aai geli tar? Aamchi aai geli hai (How would it feel if someone’s mother passes away? Our mother is gone).”Shroff questioned the appropriateness of such inquiries during a funeral. “Kasa vatel manje, tera bolne ka matlab hai, kaisa lagta hai maa kisi ki gayi to kaisa lagta hai (What do you mean by asking how it feels, how does it feel when someone loses their mother?)” he asked.The paparazzi responded, “Bura hi lagta hai (It feels bad).”Jackie Shroff reacted to the insensitive behavior, adding, “Bas, khatam ho gaya baat. Hi time nahi re bolaycha, rahu de dada, ghari jaa. (That’s it, the matter ends there. This is not the time to say such things, let it be, brother, go home).”

Asha Bhosle’s demise

Iconic playback singer Asha Bhosle died in Mumbai on Sunday, April 13, after being admitted to the hospital following a heart attack.

She was 92. The singer died due to multiple-organ failure. “Asha Bhosale breathed her last today in Breach Candy Hospital. She passed away due to multi-organ failure,” Dr Pratit Samdani at Breach Candy Hospital confirmed the demise of the legendary singer, as reported by ANI. Born in 1933, Asha Bhosle ventured into music at a young age. She shot to fame in the 1950s. Her playful, emotive voice connected with generations of music lovers across the globe.

In her nearly eight-decade-long music career, the two-time Grammy nominee has sung over 12,000 songs across 20 languages. Asha Bhosle’s demise marks the end of an era.Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences on the iconic singer’s demise. In a note shared on X, on Sunday, the PM said, “Deeply saddened by the passing of Asha Bhosle Ji, one of the most iconic and versatile voices India has ever known. Her extraordinary musical journey, spanning decades, enriched our cultural heritage and touched countless hearts across the world.

Be it her soulful melodies or vibrant compositions, her voice carried timeless brilliance.

I’ll always cherish the interactions I’ve had with her. My condolences to her family, admirers and music lovers. She will continue to inspire generations and her songs will forever echo in people’s lives.”Meanwhile, Asha Bhosle’s final rites will take place today, April 13, evening, at Shivaji Park in Mumbai city, with full state honours.
