Reports say she made it clear that she never intended to take a long break before or after the wedding.Kritika is currently handling promotional duties for her series ‘Matka King’ while also shooting for her next film. The couple recently took a short three-to-four-day trip to Goa to celebrate their new beginning.
Kritika Kamra’s decision to return quickly
Kritika Kamra explained her approach in a statement. As quoted by News 18, she said, “It was a beautiful and special time for me personally but I was always sure that I wouldn’t take a long break pre- and post-wedding.”
She added that both she and Gaurav are now back to doing what they love with fresh energy.

Kritika is managing multiple things at once: promoting ‘Matka King’ and simultaneously shooting for her upcoming film, for which she has been training hard. She said in the same statement, “Gaurav and I are both back to doing what we love with new energy. I’m really excited to share more about ‘Matka King’ and going back to set for my upcoming film that I’ve been training for.

Gaurav Kapur is also back to his busy routine with the ongoing IPL season. The couple’s short Goa trip gave them some quality time together before they returned to their professional commitments. Kritika and Gaurav tied the knot on March 11 in an intimate ceremony with family and close friends.

Her recent work includes the critically acclaimed drama ‘Mrs’ (2025), a Hindi remake of ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ starring Suraj Venjaramoodu and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead.
