Positive response and word-of-mouth help the film sustain its early run
Initial audience reviews indicate that the movie starts slowly but picks up pace after the interval. The second half of the movie, which contains unexpected twists and some fight sequences, has been better received by audiences. As such, fans feel ‘Leader’ is a better film for Legend Saravanan compared to his previous offering. The film’s ‘mass’ appeal, complemented by some commercial elements, is probably why it has managed to grab footfalls in a crowded theatre. While the overall numbers remain modest, the steady rise during the opening weekend shows that the film has found a niche audience. If positive word-of-mouth continues, the movie could maintain a stable run in the coming days.
