A pharmacy diploma student was allegedly abducted, assaulted, and threatened with death in Lucknow’s Banthra area, with police arresting the main accused and seizing two vehicles used in the crime on Saturday.
Lucknow: Police on Saturday arrested the main accused for allegedly abducting, assaulting, and issuing death threats to a pharmacy diploma student in Lucknow’s Banthra area.According to police, the victim, Sachin Pal, son of Ram Naresh Pal and a native of Unnao district, is currently pursuing a diploma in pharmacy from a college in Lucknow.
Based on his written complaint, an FIR was registered at Banthra police station.In his statement, the victim alleged that on April 8, around 4pm, he was returning home on a motorcycle with a friend and a girl when he was intercepted near a bridge in the Banthra area by Saksham Singh, who arrived in a car. The accused, suspecting that the victim was in contact with his girlfriend, confronted him, leading to a heated exchange.ACP, Sarojini Nagar, Rajneesh Kumar, said the situation escalated quickly when Saksham Singh, along with his associates travelling in another four-wheeler, forcibly stopped the victim and abducted him by forcing him into their vehicle. During the abduction, the victim was allegedly beaten and threatened with dire consequences.The accused later abandoned the victim in the Soharamau area of Unnao district before fleeing the spot.
Following the complaint, Banthra police registered a case and initiated an investigation.Acting on leads, police arrested the main accused, Saksham Singh, son of Tej Bhan Singh and a resident of 555K/90B, Bhola Kheda in Krishna Nagar, on Saturday. He was taken into custody and later produced before a court. Police also seized the two vehicles used in the crime.ACP Kumar said the accused has been sent to judicial custody, while efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the remaining accomplices involved in the case.
