Actor cum mimicry artist Kannan Sagar has revealed that he has been diagnosed with serious heart blockages. The popular mimicry artist shared that doctors have advised immediate bypass surgery.He also opened up about the financial burden of the treatment. According to him, the cost is beyond what he can currently afford and this has led him to seek help from well-wishers and kind-hearted individuals.
Kannan Sagar’s emotional note
Taking to social media, Kannan Sagar shared a deeply emotional note explaining his situation, “There is no one in this world who does not face crises, difficulties, financial struggles, or who does not wish for happiness, peace, protection, and care.
We live by supporting our families with our income, raising our children, praying for their well-being, and working hard for them. Along the way, we also try to help and bring happiness to others with whatever we have.
”He further added, “But suddenly, like a lightning strike, an uninvited guest called illness enters family life. It brings sorrow and pain, takes away the time of those around us, and creates a burden. It blocks our path with questions about how to move forward, almost as if insisting that nothing can proceed unless it allows.
Even if we face it with determination, finances become a major factor. That is when we realize how helpless we are and begin to seek help from others.
I do not see that as a weakness—only when we express our needs will others know, and kind-hearted people will be ready to help.”
Undergoing tests and immediate surgery advice
Detailing his medical condition, Kannan Sagar shared that he has been visiting hospitals frequently over the past few days, “For the past few days, I have been going in and out of hospitals.
Yesterday, I underwent an angiogram at St. Thomas Hospital in Chethipuzha, Changanassery. Just like a major blockage in the heart of a city, blockages have surrounded my heart. The doctor has said I must undergo bypass surgery immediately.
He also mentioned that the services of another hospital may be required for this.”
Family in distress amid financial strain
Kannan Sagar also spoke about the emotional toll on his family. His wife and children have been deeply affected by the situation.He wrote, “From the moment we came to know about this, my wife and children have been very distressed. I am trying to comfort them and stay strong. But the expense for the treatment is something I cannot afford right now. I have informed my organization and some colleagues about my helpless situation. Today, I am going again for a check-up at a hospital in Parumala.”Concluding his note, he requested support and prayers from his loved ones. He wrote, “I request the prayers of my loved ones to be with me and my family. I am now in the process of trying to send away this uninvited guest called illness.”

Apart from stage performances, Kannan Sagar has also made his presence in Malayalam cinema. He is known for films like ‘Charlie’, ‘Anweshippin Kandethum’, and ‘Karnan Napoleon Bhagat Singh’.
