Prayagraj: A 26-year-old man was arrested on Sunday by Pratapgarh police on charges of attacking policemen and damaging their vehicle. The accused, Arun Kumar, resident of Devri Hardo, was part of a group that allegedly attacked policemen who had reached to intervene in a dispute between two groups at Devri Hardo Patti village recently.
The miscreants pelted stones at the police party and damaged their PRV. Following the incident, FIR under section 191(1), 352, 351(3), 121, 132, 109(1), 115(2), 125 and 324(5) of BNS was registered against five named persons. The arrest of Arun Kumar was made near Ganga express way road while he planned to escape. Teams are carrying out raids to nab other culprits too. tnn
