‘Outright assault on humanity’: Manipur CM inspects survivor, orders best care after rocket attack kills 2 children

Manipur Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh strongly condemned a brutal attack in Tronglaobi Awang Leikai that killed two children.

GUWAHATI: Manipur chief minister Y Khemchand Singh on Tuesday strongly condemned the brutal attack at Tronglaobi Awang Leikai in Moirang, which claimed the lives of two children. “In the early hours this morning, I rushed to Raj Polyclinic to personally assess the condition of the injured mother who tragically lost her two children in last night’s barbaric attack. I have directed the authorities to ensure she receives the highest standard of medical care and all necessary support,” the chief minister said. Terming the incident an “outright assault on humanity,” Singh said the attack was a deliberate attempt to derail the hard-earned peace in Manipur.

“I condemn this heinous act in the strongest possible terms,” he stated. The chief minister issued a stern warning to those responsible, asserting that they would not escape justice. “Let there be no doubt — those behind this crime will be identified, hunted down, and dealt with firmly under the law. Such acts of terror will not be tolerated under any circumstances,” Singh said. Reaffirming his government’s commitment to public safety, Singh said, “My government stands resolute in protecting every citizen and will take all necessary measures to ensure that peace, order, and stability are not compromised.” He also appealed to the people of Manipur to remain united. “I urge all citizens to stay resolute and united against forces that seek to disturb our collective harmony,” the Chief Minister added.
