Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua now finds himself at the center of a dispute that stretches beyond the field, involving claims of physical misconduct and offensive remarks during a New Year’s Eve outing in Century City.According to court documents and reports, a woman has accused Nacua of biting her and a companion during the evening of December 31, 2025. The claims quickly grew more serious, describing not just isolated behavior but what she called a pattern of escalating conduct. Nacua, through his legal team, has firmly denied the broader accusations, even as parts of the account remain contested.
Why the allegations against Puka Nacua are under scrutiny and what comes next
The woman’s account lays out a timeline that begins at dinner, where she alleges Puka Nacua said, “f*** all the Jews,” a remark she described as deeply distressing.
She claims it marked the start of what became an “escalating course of rude or vulgar, threatening, violent, and harassing conduct.”
The situation, as described in her filing, intensified later inside a Sprinter van after the group left the restaurant. She alleges that Nacua became “touchy-feely” before suddenly biting her friend’s thumb “so forcefully that she screamed in acute pain.” Moments later, the woman claims he turned toward her and bit her shoulder hard enough to break the skin, leaving what she says was a visible circular imprint.
A photograph of the alleged injury was included in her application for a temporary restraining order.Nacua’s attorney, Levi McCathern, has pushed back strongly on those claims. While he characterized the interaction as “horseplay,” he appeared to acknowledge at least one bite, describing it as leaving only a “temporary mark.” He has also rejected the allegation of antisemitic remarks, stating that witnesses present did not hear Nacua make such a comment. The dispute did not end with the incident itself. The woman claims she filed a police report the following day and later attended a mediation session in March 2026. There, she alleges Nacua’s legal team threatened to “contact TMZ and other press and media outlets and to disseminate false, inaccurate, and/or deliberately exaggerated public statements about the events of December 31, 2025.” McCathern, in response, has labeled the case a shakedown attempt, alleging that the woman is seeking millions in damages. For now, a Los Angeles judge has denied the request for a temporary restraining order. The case remains active, with another hearing scheduled for April 14, where both sides are expected to continue presenting their accounts.
