Scuffle breaks out between police and locals over ‘Gau Rakshak’ death in UP

AGRA: A scuffle broke out between police and locals in Mathura’s Kosi area after residents blocked the road to protest the death of a ‘Gau Rakshak’.

The deceased was allegedly run over by cattle smugglers, triggering tension at the site, according to news agency ANI.The protest turned violent in Chhata as cow vigilantes pelted stones following a police lathi charge, leaving several police personnel and dozens of people injured, while around half a dozen police vehicles were vandalised.
