Sherrone Moore broke down in tears while speaking to police, and the video is now out in public. The former Michigan football head coach was seen crying and blaming his assistant, Paige Shiver, for everything that happened, his firing, his arrest, and the damage to his life.
The footage, shared by Daily Mail, shows Moore speaking from a hospital where he was taken for a mental health check after his arrest on December 10. He told officers that he did nothing wrong and claimed Shiver lied about him. Moore was fired the same day after the University of Michigan learned about a relationship between him and a staff member. Soon after, police got a 911 call saying he entered an apartment linked to Shiver and talked about harming himself.

In the video, Sherrone Moore is seen crying and telling officers that Paige Shiver “ruined” his life. He said, “I have to spend a night in jail because she lied. I never did anything to her. She straight up lied. She ruined my life.” Police officers tried to calm him down. One officer even said he understood Moore’s pain and tried not to cry while listening to him. The focus of the officers, though, stayed on Moore’s safety after he spoke about hurting himself.
Moore admitted he went to the apartment and had scissors and butter knives, but he clearly told officers he never used them on Shiver. He said, “I did not hold anything to her, touch her, and that’s when I drove on. I was gonna harm myself.” During the talk, an officer reminded Moore about his daughters and told him to stay strong for them. Moore listened but continued to say that he was being wrongly blamed.

He said it lasted around two years and ended just days before the incident. According to Moore, he wanted to end things and remove her from her role, but he claimed she warned him about legal action if he did.Court records, reviewed by Daily Mail, say Moore later sent many texts and calls to Shiver after the breakup. One message read, “I hate you. My blood is on your hands.”Moore was later charged, but he reached a deal. He pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges like trespassing and misuse of a telecom device.
More serious charges, including home invasion and stalking, were dropped by prosecutors.He also spoke about a meeting with Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel, who fired him earlier that day. Moore mentioned there were other claims being looked into but said those “never happened.”Shiver’s contract with the Michigan football program has now ended, according to a department spokesperson quoted by Daily Mail.
