Bokaro: A 15-year-old boy was electrocuted while his friend suffered critical burn injuries while allegedly attempting to shoot a reel at a railway hump yard near Bokaro station on Sunday evening.
The deceased was identified as Kaushik Sharma.Sources said a group of seven boys had gone to the yard. RPF post in-charge Santosh Kumar said one of them, identified as Abhimanyu Chatterjee, climbed onto a parked wagon allegedly to record a video or take photographs, when he came in contact with an overhead electric line. His friend, Kaushik, climbed onto the wagon to rescue him but was electrocuted.The other boys raised an alarm, and railway staff rushed to the scene and alerted RPF personnel. The injured were taken to Bokaro General Hospital, where doctors declared Kaushik dead.Senior divisional security commissioner of Adra railway division, Om Prakash Mohanty, said an inquiry has been initiated into the incident.
