On Saturday, Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD’s working president, might touch down in Ranchi for a significant state-level gathering. Key discussions are likely to revolve around crucial issues like inflation and the rising rates of unemployment. With an ambition to broaden its reach in Jharkhand, the party is also focusing on empowering its women’s wing and kicking off a membership recruitment drive.
Ranchi: RJD working president Tejashwi Yadav is likely to visit the city on Saturday to participate in the party’s state-level programme scheduled on Sunday, former Union minister and Jharkhand in-charge of the organisation, Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav said on Friday.Addressing the media at his party office, he said that during the meeting, burning issues of the nation and the states, including Jharkhand, would be discussed while mentioning that there is high inflation and unemployment in the country while the law and order system has collapsed in Bihar as crimes against women are taking place in broad daylight.On Jharkhand, he said, “RJD played a crucial role in forming the current grand alliance govt in the state.
The party has mass base which would be further expanded. The various cells including of women would be strengthened while membership drive would also be conducted.”Notwithstanding the split in the grand alliance in Assam, Yadav claimed that at the national level the group is united and it would prevent BJP from coming into power in the five states going to the polls this month.He claimed that the RJD-led alliance was all set to come to power but the BJP had ‘kidnapped’ the voters through the special intensive review. He alleged that democracy was murdered in the Bihar elections.
