‘The Pitt’ cast Noah Wyle, and others, Quinta Brunson, Kevin Bacon, Questlove, join ‘The Simpsons’ 800th episode

‘The Simpsons’ marked another major milestone by airing their 800th episode, titled ‘Irrational Treasure.’ What made this even more special was the number of guests who starred in the episode to celebrate. ‘The Pitt,’ an Emmy-winning TV series, was a major part of the milestone, as leading actors Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa, and Taylor Dearden joined the gang in their animated versions. Rather than playing their roles from the TV show, the trio joined ‘The Simpsons’ as experienced veterinarians to save the family dog after he accidentally licked the fallen Ambrosia salad and grapes. Their expertise was needed since grapes are known to be highly toxic to dogs.

Creators of ‘The Simpsons’ open up about including ‘The Pitt’ cast

While talking to People about the episode, one of the executive producers behind the animated sitcom revealed that he was really excited to include the stars in his show.

Matt Selman shared more about how this came to be, citing that “We were all just blown away by how good it was and how traumatic it was.”He further called ‘The Pitt’ a “darker, more real, crazier version of an emergency room show” when explaining why he liked the show so much. Talking about working with the cast, he concluded, “And I mean, obviously Noah clearly went all in and was willing to make light of one of the saddest and most realistic parts of the actual Pitt show in the Ambrosia salad version. I think they all seem pretty excited.”
