Darron Lee, the 31 year old former New York Jets player, is now facing a scandalous criminal charge after he was accused of allegedly brutally murdering his girlfriend, Gabriella Carvalho Perpétuo, at their rented home in Tennessee.Darron Lee is now facing a first degree murder charge and is being held without bond. A few hours ago, as per reports, Brian Lockhart, a detective with the Hampton County, Tennessee, Sheriff’s Office, testified in court about what he saw when he entered Darron Lee’s rented home where his girlfriend was found murdered last week.
Brian Lockhart said, “There was blood going up the staircase on the hand rail. There was blood on the walls. There was blood on the floor in the living room. There was blood in the hallway upstairs. There was blood in just about every room.”The detective also mentioned how there might have been an attempt to clean up the alleged crime scene before authorities arrived at Darron Lee’s rented home in Tennessee.Brian Lockhart added, “It lit up blue throughout the whole hallway…You could see drag marks.
You could see drag marks into the bathroom that was glowing blue.”A press release posted by authorities reads as, “Due to the condition of the victim and the residence, HCSO Criminal Investigative Services Detectives responded. Preliminary findings indicate the victim’s death was the result of a homicide.”

To make matters worse, the rented home where Darron Lee’s girlfriend, Gabriella Carvalho Perpétuo, was found murdered, was rented by the couple just 10 days before the horrifying incident.This is not the first time that Darron Lee had a run in with the authorities, as he was arrested for arrested for assault and domestic violence in 2023.While Darron Lee left the NFL after playing with the Buffalo Bills in 2020, he was considered as one of the most talented college football players before he joined the league. For now, Darron Lee has been denied bail and is scheduled to be back for a preliminary hearing on 9th March.
