Girls dominate results; boys trail in both years
TS Inter results 2026: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) has declared the Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) March 2026 results for both first and second year students.
The results were announced at 11:00 AM from the board office in Hyderabad. Students from both general and vocational streams can now check their marks memo online.A clear trend has emerged this year, with girls performing better than boys in both first and second year exams. The gap in pass percentage between the two groups remains significant.
Girls lead in first year results
In the first year exams, the overall pass percentage stood at 66.20 percent.
Girls recorded a pass percentage of 74.40 percent, while boys stood at 57.69 percent. This shows a gap of more than 16 percentage points between the two.Out of 2,49,110 girls who appeared, 1,85,331 passed. In comparison, 2,40,013 boys appeared and 1,38,475 cleared the exam.
Strong performance by girls in second year as well
The trend continued in the second year results. The overall pass percentage was 70.58 percent. Girls achieved a pass percentage of 78.65 percent, while boys recorded 62.50 percent.
A total of 2,54,050 girls appeared in the second year exams, out of which 1,99,813 passed. Among boys, 2,53,898 appeared and 1,58,677 cleared the exam.
Gap remains consistent across streams
The difference in performance is visible across both general and vocational streams. In both years, girls maintained a clear lead over boys in pass percentage. The data shows that this gap is not limited to a specific category but is consistent overall.

Students who appeared for the exams can check their results through the official websites of TGBIE. In addition to the official portals, results are also available on the Times of India (TOI) portal.Students are advised to download and keep a copy of their marks memo for future use.
