Speaking on his show, Green pointed to the guard’s all-around influence and the ripple effect it creates across the roster. “Luka has been playing absolutely incredible.”Green further highlighted how the Slovenian star elevates those around him during high-pressure stretches. “Ironically, the Lakers have been playing absolutely incredible. Luka at the top of his game makes everyone around him better. So, you ask yourself, how dangerous can they be in the playoffs?”
Doncic has scored over 30 points in eight straight games and combined for 100 points across his last two outings.

On national television, Stephen A. Smith made a rare admission after initially overlooking Doncic in early MVP discussions. “I’m ashamed that I hadn’t brought up Luka for MVP consideration sooner than this morning. That ends now,” Smith said.
“Luka Doncic has been sensational.”He backed that statement with numbers and impact. “The Lakers have been incredibly impressive on an eight-game winning streak. He’s scored over 30 in each one of those games. He’s scored 100 over the last two games,” Smith said.“Who deserves it more than Luka right now with what Luka is doing? He’s leading the league in scoring.”

The latest update to the MVP ladder reflects that surge. Doncic has climbed to second place, trailing only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
