Anaswara addressed the issue through a detailed note on Instagram. She wrote, “I am writing this note due to certain distressing circumstances I have recently faced. For the past few days, director Sri Deepu Karunakaran has been giving interviews to various media outlets, claiming that I refused to cooperate with the promotions of our film.
His statements are tarnishing my reputation.”She explained that she had actively supported the film’s publicity by sharing character posters and the official trailer on her social media platforms. She also rejected claims that her official Facebook page was run by fans, calling it deliberate misinformation.
Payment issue and shoot clarification
One major allegation suggested that Anaswara refused to attend the shoot until her payment was cleared.
She strongly denied this claim.She stated, “First and foremost, I want to address his claim that I only attended the shoot after ensuring my payment was settled. During the shoot, when a payment issue arose, the producer did not transfer the money, and Deepu instructed me not to leave my room until it was resolved. However, his statement that I only participated after ‘counting the money’ deeply hurt me — both professionally and emotionally.”Her statement highlighted her commitment to completing the project despite the challenges.

Even today, I have no idea when the movie is being released. I strongly believe that these negative statements are being made with the sole intention of harming my career.
” Anaswara suggested that she was targeted because she was a young female artist who was expected to remain silent.She added, “As someone who has been actively involved in the promotions of my last three films over the past three months, even adjusting other commitments to do so, I fully understand the importance of supporting a project beyond contractual obligations.”She also hinted at taking strict action against the allegations, making it clear that she would not allow false claims to damage her credibility. The actress revealed that she had taken necessary steps to address defamatory statements and protect her professional reputation legally.
