Their daughter Chloe was born on April 23, 2000, beginning a new chapter for the family.
Early sacrifices helped Chloe Kim discover snowboarding talent at a young age
Jong Jin first took Chloe snowboarding at age four at Mountain High Resort, reported Sports Illustrated. He bought her first snowboard for $25 on eBay and even used candles for wax, according to ESPN.When Chloe showed strong talent, he made a bold choice and quit his engineering job to support her training full-time.
Chloe later said in The Washington Post that she was thankful for the sacrifice and long drives to practice.
Boran Yun Kim’s quiet support kept the family strong behind the scenes
While Chloe and her father traveled for training, Boran Yun cared for the family and supported Chloe in simple ways.
