Lucknow: Students of Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) can now look forward to internships and job opportunities across several sectors, as 16 new startups were incubated on Friday at the university’s Kalam Incubation Centre.These startups were selected by the incubation centre after several rounds of evaluation.In addition to getting a workspace on campus, these startups will receive mentorship from experts. They will also be provided with information about various govt schemes and funding opportunities. Through these startups, AKTU students can gain valuable work experience both as interns and as part of the workforce.“AKTU incubation centres support startups by offering comprehensive, end-to-end assistance, expert mentoring, co-working spaces and lab facilities. We focus on converting research ideas into viable commercial products through networking and intellectual property (IP) support,” said dean academics, AKTU Centre of Advanced Studies, Anuj Sharma.He said with the coming up of 16 startups, we will now have a total of 56 startups, which means more opportunity for our students to train, learn, think of starting their own startups and also getting jobs at one.
