34-year-old private company employee found dead in Bengaluru’s Adugodi under suspicious circumstances

Private company employee, Puja Dutta, was found dead in her Adugodi rented house under disturbing circumstances.

BENGALURU: A chilling incident has surfaced in Adugodi, where a 34-year-old private company employee, identified as Puja Dutta, was found dead in a disturbing condition inside her rented house on Monday night.Puja, originally from Hirapur in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, had been living alone in a rented house on the third floor of a multi-storey residential building in Adugodi for the last three years and was working in a private company. Her neighbours alerted the house owner about a foul smell emanating from the house, who subsequently informed the police. When police arrived at the spot, a locksmith was called to break open the door.

They found her body in a naked and decomposed state, indicating that she may have died at least three days ago. The condition of the body has raised questions about whether it was a case of suicide or death caused by other reasons, as the body was found in a pool of blood. Torn papers were scattered in the room and a table fan was turned on next to her body. Police have shifted the body for post-mortem, and the exact cause of death will be known only after the report.

Adugodi police are examining her phone call records and questioning acquaintances.Adding to the mystery, the house owner, Janakamma, revealed that Puja, who was unmarried, had been living there for the past three years and worked at a private firm. She mostly spoke in Hindi. Two bachelor youths who rented the adjacent house recently informed her about the foul smell.“I suspect that she may have taken her own life, as the door was locked from inside.

She had also latched three bolts. The locksmith broke the lock using a hammer. There were cut marks on her body,” Janakamma said. She also stated that a man frequently visited Puja and that the two often had heated arguments, though the reason behind their disputes remains unclear. She further stated that Puja had a big speaker at her house and played loud music, disturbing others. “I had scolded her for playing loud music and asked her to vacate the house.

She argued with me,” she added.“Last I saw her was on Thursday, when someone came to see the house for renting. After that, she was not seen,” Janakamma said.Police are now trying to trace the identity of the frequent visitor and piece together what transpired after Thursday. Adugodi police have taken up the case and are investigating.
