Kailash Kher releases devotional single ‘Jogi’, inspired by Bhakti movement

Singer Kailash Kher has released a new devotional single titled “Jogi”, a song rooted in the ethos of the Bhakti movement and inspired by age-old folk poetry. The song, which blends soulful vocals with folk instrumentation, is described as a reimagining of classical devotional traditions for contemporary audiences.

It has been released under Kailasa Records, the music label of Kailasa Entertainment Pvt.

Ltd.The accompanying music video is a visual tribute to the life and journey of Adi Shankaracharya, tracing his efforts to revive and unify the spiritual traditions of India through the establishment of the Mathas, the sacred centres of learning. The video also pays tribute to contemporary gurus and spiritual leaders who continue to carry forward these teachings.“‘Jogi’ is not just a song, it is a journey – inward. The same emotion that saints and mystics have felt for centuries beats within this music. The penance and vision of Adi Shankaracharya remind us that true tradition is not confined to history – it lives on, in every individual who walks the path of truth and dharma,” Kher said. The single is available across all major streaming platforms and digital channels.Kailash Kher, known for chartbusters such as “Allah Ke Bande” and “Teri Deewani”, has long been associated with devotional and Sufi-inflected music.
