Auto Driver Dies After Altercation While Parking Vehicle in Nihal Vihar; Two Arrested

New Delhi: A 50-year-old auto-rickshaw driver died after an altercation with a group of men while parking his vehicle in west Delhi’s Nihal Vihar area.The incident took place late Thursday night when the man had gone to park his auto in a designated parking lot near his residence.

During this time, he got into a dispute with some individuals and collapsed during the altercation.

He was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.Police identified the deceased as Narayan Verma, a resident of Nihal Vihar, who lived with his wife and three children.Police said there were no visible external injury marks on the body. Based on the post-mortem findings and statements of witnesses, a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder has been registered. Two accused, Bhagat Singh (45) and Babu Singh (22), have been arrested in connection with the case.Further investigation is underway.
