Over 400 fall ill after suspected food poisoning at wedding in Gujarat’s Dahod; health officials on alert

AHMEDABAD: More than 400 people fell ill after a suspected food poisoning incident at a wedding in Abhlod village of Gujarat’s Dahod district, officials said on Tuesday. Several of the affected people were hospitalised, and a probe has been initiated by health authorities to determine the cause.

In a separate incident, a suspected food poisoning case was reported from a girls’ hostel in Memnagar on April 5, where 20 more students were admitted to Sterling Hospital, taking the total number of hospitalised students to 38 within 24 hours.The incident occurred when 57 girls from a Patel community-run hostel were rushed to hospital after experiencing severe diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting for over a day.(This is a developing story)
