CM Punk came out on RAW after losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42. He acknowledged his defeat, but claimed that he was still The Best in the World. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came out and said that he thought Punk was going to crash out after the title loss.
While he said that fans gave Punk his flowers, Rhodes also added that he looked like a loser to him. A few words were exchanged before Punk said that a title opportunity could fall from the sky anytime.
As he was leaving, Rhodes said, ‘Just say when’, hinting at a potential title match.
Which former tag team champions return to aid Seth Rollins on RAW?
The Vision, Austin Theory, Logan Paul, Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker came out on RAW. Heyman addressed the rise of Paul and Theory as WWE World Tag Team Champions, while also lashing out on the WWE production and mocking some other people.
He also said that he now owed Gunther a huge favor. Breakker took the mic to gloat about the fact that he ruined everything for Seth Rollins just as he was about to beat Gunther at WrestleMania 42.
Rollins came out with a chair, but fell to the numbers game. However, The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) returned to come to his aid and clear out The Vision from the ring.
What were the other major highlights of WWE RAW (April 20)?
Two top stars from NXT, Ethan Page and Sol Ruca, made their official in-ring debut on RAW. While Page scored a win over Je’Von Evans, Ruca was cost a match against Liv Morgan by her former partner Zaria’s interference. Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky defeated The Kabuki Warriors, and Finn Balor beat JD McDonagh while fending off an attack from Dominik Mysterio.
