RSS hosts conference for nearly 600 families; Focus on social harmony amid community divisions

Dhanbad: Nearly 600 families took part in a conference organised by RSS at Dada-Dadi Park here on Sunday aimed at fostering unity and awareness.Speakers highlighted the importance of social harmony and explained the benefits of unity while cautioning against the consequences of internal divisions.People from diverse groups expressed concerns over the alleged divisions within society following the introduction of UGC regulations. Several participants claimed that the policy widened the gap between communities, leading to fragmentation.RSS functionaries distanced the organisation from the controversy. According to officials, the ‘sammelan’ is part of a broader initiative marking RSS’s centenary year, with similar events being conducted across different regions every Sunday for the past two weeks.Cultural performances, family interaction sessions, and community feasts were also organised, creating a platform for social bonding. Another ‘sammelan’ is scheduled to be held on March 29 in Dhanbad.
