With up to six generations of OS upgrades and long-term security support, the new Galaxy A series is built to last. We used the pretty looking Samsung smartphone for sometime and here are our first impressions of the device.

Design

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G series justifies the design language of Samsung Galaxy A-series. The smartphone has borrowed its design elements from the Galaxy S-series. The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G sports a sleek and lightweight design.

The rear of the smartphone is coated with glass and the triple rear camera setup is placed vertically in the top left corner. Despite the smooth glass coating, the smartphone does not attract any fingerprints.

The power button and volume rockers are placed on the right side while the USB Type C charging port and SIM card tray are loaded at the bottom. The front is dominated by a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display which also houses a 12MP selfie camera.

The smartphone also comes with IP68 rating which makes it resistant to dust and water.

Display

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on top. The FHD+ display offers vibrant colour reproduction and 20:9 aspect ratio. The Infinity-O display houses the selfie camera and is surrounded by thin bezels on all sides.

The large display on the Samsung Galaxy M32 5G is also bright enough to be used under direct sunlight.

The smartphone also offers a sliding small productivity bar which houses apps which can be quickly accessed by the users. You can also replace the apps as per your need.

Hardware and software

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G is powered by an octa-core Exynos 1680 processor paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in three storage options — 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.

The 5G-enabled smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. During our initial testing, the smartphone worked fine and we didn’t notice any major issues. Coming to the software, Samsung Galaxy A57 5G runs Android 16 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of One UI 8.5. Along with this, the smartphone also offers Knox Security support. The multi-layer security claims to protect your sensitive data from malware and malicious threats.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G sports a triple-rear camera setup which consists of 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, 12MP ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front is home to a 12MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone delivered some really good images during daylight. The images captured offered ample amounts of detailing with accurate colour reproduction.

However, you will have to wait for our complete review to completely understand the camera of Galaxy A57 5G.

What we think

At this price point, the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G offers some really good specifications such as the 5000mAh battery with fast charging support, the latest Android and a 50MP triple-camera setup. But to decide whether it’s a good buy or not you will have to read our complete review.
