A few hours ago, Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport predicted that there is a chance that the Kansas City Chiefs acquires the former New England Patriots’ star player Stefon Diggs.
Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport noted in a recent report, “Bringing in Stefon Diggs wouldn’t be a weird move, though. The Chiefs need to add a wide receiver to a room that currently sports Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and not much else.”He added, “Diggs is also coming off a quietly-solid season with the New England Patriots: 102 targets, 85 receptions, 1,013 yards and four touchdowns.”Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport continued, “Right now, Kansas City’s pass-catchers are more a weakness than a strength. The addition of Diggs could change that.”However, the Kansas City Chiefs have maintained distance from trade talks concerning their former player, Stefon Diggs.
The former New England Patriots’ star wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, was recently released from the team, even though he had signed a $63.5 million three year deal with the team last year.While the exact reason behind his release has not been made public, many NFL insiders have pointed it to his legal trouble.Over the last year, Stefon Diggs remained involved in a number of scandalous lawsuits with his ex girlfriends and a recent one with his ex private chef.Despite the mess in his personal life, Stefon Diggs recorded an impressive performance in the last season as he led the New England Patriots’ to Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks.The popular wide receiver played in all 17 games of the season as he recorded 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns.This was a major improvement since the 2024 season when he played for the Houston Texans as his season was cut short due to a brutal ACL tear.In the 2024 season, Stefon Diggs played in only 8 games and recorded 504 total yards and 4 total touchdowns.For now, all eyes are on where Stefon Diggs ends up next in the upcoming season as he navigates legal trouble.
