Undo and Redo for home screen changes

As per the report, one of the most notable additions under testing is the introduction of Undo and Redo buttons. These enable the users to quickly reverse or reapply changes made while rearranging apps on the home screen.

The feature is designed to make customisation less frustrating, especially for users who accidentally move or delete apps while organising their layout.Along with this, Apple is also testing a “Fill Empty Spaces” option, which would automatically move apps to fill gaps created when icons are removed or shifted. The feature is expected to streamline the Home Screen experience and also make sure that the users get a more cleaner and organised look without any manual adjustments.

Both features are currently in testing and may appear in upcoming beta versions of iOS 27 before a wider rollout.
