According to the complaint filed by a man named Satyanarayana, his son – an NRI software engineer living in London – met Ashu Reddy back in 2018. Over time, the two allegedly got into a close relationship, and the actress is said to have promised marriage.Based on that trust, the complainant claims his son ended up spending massive amounts of money over the years.And we’re not talking small amounts here.The complaint alleges purchases like luxury cars, nearly 5 kg of gold, and even multiple flats – all reportedly registered in the actress’s name.Things took a turn when, according to the family, the marriage promise didn’t materialize. That’s when they decided to approach the police.There’s also another angle in the complaint – it alleges that the actress’s sister took around ₹50 lakh from the complainant’s son and never returned it.
Actress threatens legal action
Reddy, meanwhile took to Instagram and threatened legal action against any false information being spread. She wrote, “Without my consent, any news or false information that is passing through, will be taken a severe legal action. Respect.”
Police have stepped in
As per Siasat Daily, Hyderabad police have confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is currently underway.Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes/DD) S. Chaitanya Kumar reportedly said the matter initially looked like a live-in relationship dispute, but once the financial transactions came into the picture, it became more complicated and needed deeper investigation.Officials have also made it clear that they can’t share too many details right now since the probe is still ongoing.
