Lucknow: The management of Lucknow University has said that it will introduce a digital learning management system for the students from the upcoming academic session, in which bilingual video lectures (both in Hindi and English) will be prepared and uploaded by the professors for the students to access.The system will be linked with the Samarth portal and will support structured academic delivery across subjects.Initially, the university has planned to start this system with new courses introduced this year, like AI & Machine Learning, Cyber Security & Forensics, Data Science & Analytics and Internet of Things.After the initial rollout, it will be expanded to all the courses offered by LU in a phased manner.Each subject will include 20 video lectures of one hour duration.
Along with the video content, assignments will also be provided for the students to complete during the lectures.A chatbot facility will be available for the students to raise queries and get responses related to their subjects and study material.Vice-chancellor, JP Saini, said, “The digital learning management system will support students with structured content and bilingual video lectures. It will help in improving access to study material and make learning more organised. The system will first be introduced in new courses and later extended to all programmes of the university helping students in self study.”
