Comedian Bill Maher has triggered a political firestorm after launching a blistering on-air attack against former US Representative Eric Swalwell on “Real Time With Bill Maher,” amid renewed misconduct allegations surrounding the California Democrat. Maher did not hold back during the broadcast, calling Swalwell a “f–king creep” and claiming his negative view of him goes back years. Recalling past appearances, he said, “I’ve got to say, we had him on a couple of times. Ask my staff, I never liked him.” He further doubled down, stating, “I’ve always thought this guy was a f–king creep… and yet so many Democrats stood by him, and now we’re finding out it was such an open secret,” intensifying the controversy and adding fresh fuel to an already heated political debate.
