Jaipur: The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has announced a phased agitation beginning Wednesday, accusing power corporations of failing to implement state govt orders to recruit establishment officers despite budgetary provisions.BMS said directives issued on Oct 14 last year to strengthen employee welfare and the ministerial cadre remain unimplemented. It demanded immediate creation of establishment officer posts on the prescribed pay scale along with restructuring of subordinate posts.“Due to the non-creation of these posts, ministerial employees in the power corporations are deprived of proper promotion opportunities. In contrast, employees in other departments, corporations, boards and institutions have already received promotions following restructuring,” said Sushil Saini, vice president of Rajasthan Vidyut Shramik Mahasangh (BMS), Jaipur. He said that this situation is not only contrary to the intent of the state govt but also a direct injustice to employees.“In the absence of establishment officers, crucial personnel-related functions such as service record management, administrative work and establishment matters are being severely affected. Additionally, work is being carried out without proper structure, placing an unnecessary burden on other officers, leading to delays and administrative disorder,” Saini added. If no positive action is taken, the organisation will be compelled to intensify its agitation in the interest of employees against the failure of the electricity administration to implement budget directives.
