Margao: Fatorda police on Tuesday, arrested the driver of a BMW car, for allegedly performing dangerous stunts at the SGPDA ground in Margao that ended with his vehicle ramming into a police jeep before he fled the scene.The incident occurred around 10.30pm on Sunday.Police disclosed the name of the driver as B Parkar.He was later released on bail. Police on Monday booked the driver for rash and negligent driving and fleeing the scene after the performing the stunt.The event organisers have also been charged for failing to install adequate safety barricades, compromising the safety of those present and for violating an order issued by the deputy collector of Salcete.Parkar was drifting the BMW in the ground when it struck the police vehicle.Further investigation in the case is under way.
