Canacona: Frustrated over the long wait for LPG supply, consumers in Canacona taluka want more supply agencies.The taluka has two LPG dealers, with one having operated in the taluka for over two decades.
Natividade D’Sa said her LPG supplier said he would deliver the cylinder 25 days after the booking.
“It’s been 43 days, and I’m still waiting,” said D’Sa.

Several senior citizens like her, she said, are finding it increasingly difficult to make trips to the LPG godown about 14km away, and return empty handed.Abhay Dhuri, another senior citizen, said had there been more distributors, things would have been different. Dhuri also complained that consumers living in interiors are worst affected. Pradip Prabhudessai, an LPG dealer, said, ‘There has been an LPG shortage, but we have been facing the brunt of it with angry customers day in and day out,” he said.
