Chatra DC reviews home guard recruitment drive

Deputy Commissioner Ravi Anand is actively overseeing the home guard recruitment process at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, focusing on fairness and the welfare of prospective candidates. He has instructed officials to enhance the experience by providing amenities like water, shaded waiting areas, and immediate medical support.

Chatra: Deputy commissioner (DC) Ravi Anand inspected the ongoing home guard recruitment process at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Monday. The recruitment process, which started on April 1, will conclude on April 23.During his visit, Anand examined various stages of the process including registration, physical efficiency tests and document verification. He directed officials to ensure that the entire exercise is conducted in a transparent manner.Anand asked officials to make adequate arrangements for drinking water, shade, medical facilities, toilets and rest areas for the candidates. He also instructed magistrates and police personnel deployed at the venue to maintain law and order and ensure courteous behaviour towards candidates.Calling the recruitment drive an important opportunity for youth, the DC said that all officials must discharge their duties responsibly to ensure its smooth and successful completion. Additional collector Arvind Kumar, SDO Zahur Alam, district employment officer Mannu Kumar and officials from the police department were present during the inspection.
