TNN Lucknow: In view of the upcoming Home Guard recruitment examination, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will chair a high-level review meeting with senior administrative and police officials on Wednesday night. The meeting, scheduled to be held via video conferencing, will focus on assessing preparedness for the recruitment examination as well as reviewing the overall law and order situation in the state. The Home Guard recruitment exam is slated to be conducted over three days — April 25, 26 and 27. According to officials, the review will be attended by all additional directors general of police (zones), police commissioners, divisional commissioners, district magistrates, IG/DIG range officers, senior superintendents of police and superintendents of police, along with district school inspectors and others. The chief minister is expected to issue detailed directives to ensure the smooth, transparent and fair conduct of the examination. Key focus areas will include robust security arrangements at examination centres, real-time monitoring, crowd management, and ensuring convenience for candidates appearing in large numbers across districts. Special emphasis will be laid on preventing malpractice, with the state government reiterating its zero-tolerance policy against cheating, paper leaks, impersonation and any irregularities.
Officials are likely to be instructed to maintain strict vigilance, particularly in sensitive districts and centres. In addition to exam preparedness, the chief minister will conduct a comprehensive review of the law and order situation, directing field officers to remain alert and ensure peace and security during the examination period. All participating officials have been instructed to join the video conference with complete preparedness, including updates on district-level arrangements, security deployment plans and coordination mechanisms, as the government aims to conduct the examination in a foolproof and credible manner.
