With a fresh perspective, Bihar’s newly elected Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary, has embarked on a transformative journey, vowing to bring about swift progress and a culture of transparency in governance. His commitment to effective public service highlights a future where issues are resolved promptly, corruption is eradicated, and critical government services are easily accessible to all.
Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary on Thursday pledged rapid development and a governance model based on transparency and efficiency, setting the tone for his new govt in Bihar.Sharing the vision of his new govt, the CM posted on X on Thursday, “Rapid development: The resolve for an empowered Bihar! Bihar is now advancing in a new direction of change — one characterised by accelerated execution, transparent decision-making, and the primacy of public service.
Across every department, a streamlined work culture ensures the swift resolution of issues. Good governance is being strengthened through the strict implementation of a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, while accountability is being firmly established by eliminating the backlog of pending files.”The CM added, “By enhancing amenities right down to the doorstep, access to govt services is being made both easier and more effective for the common citizen.
Our objective is not merely development, but the creation of a Bihar that improves with each passing day — where every effort serves as a strong stride toward realising the vision of a ‘Developed Bihar’.”Earlier in the day, Samrat reached the CM secretariat and held consultations with deputy CMs Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav, chief secretary Pratyaya Amrit and other senior officials, outlining the governance framework for his administration.
Later, he summoned the principal secretaries of all departments and issued directives after a detailed review with administrative officials. Naveen Kumar, principal secretary of urban development and housing department, delivered a presentation on ongoing development projects.Samrat, who currently holds the portfolios of 29 departments till cabinet expansion, also toured his office premises.Later, the CM visited Takhat Sri Harimandir Patna Sahib gurdwara, where the management committee welcomed him by presenting a ‘saropa’.
Members of the committee briefed him about the gurdwara. Former minister Dilip Jaiswal accompanied him.Earlier, Samrat met and accepted greetings from a large number of BJP workers and leaders who thronged his official residence at 5, Deshratna Marg since morning. The CM also visited ‘Charkha Samiti’, the residence of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan in Kadamkuan, where he was accorded a welcome with drums and musical instruments. Several MLAs and NDA leaders were already present.Old timers said Samrat, having served as deputy CM, closely observed the functioning of his predecessor Nitish Kumar and intends to make the most of every single day.
