New Delhi: CM Rekha Gupta on Thursday directed all agencies to complete pre-monsoon desilting of drains by June 30, stressing that delays would not be tolerated. Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat, she called for coordinated action among departments to tackle chronic waterlogging in the city.Officials from PWD, MCD, DMRC, NDMC, DDA and Delhi Cantonment Board presented their plans for drain cleaning, repairs and infrastructure work. Gupta flagged garbage clogging drain inlets as a key concern and asked departments to ensure proper silt disposal.
