Fatehpur police return 210 mobiles to owners

Prayagraj: Fatehpur police have recovered and handed over 210 lost mobile phones worth about Rs 32.50 lakh to their owners on Tuesday. This operation followed several complaints from the public about missing phones received by the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal.

SP (Fatehpur) Abhimanyu Manglik said: “Cops recovered 210 mobile sets in the past 20 days and returned them to their respective owners on Tuesday. Evidences such as call detail records, CCTV footage, location tracking and the CEIR portal were used to identify and retrieve the phones.”
