Araria: Patna high court judge Sandip Kumar, who is also the Inspecting Justice of Araria Judicial Division, on Friday addressed a gathering of members of Araria Bar and Advocate Association at a felicitation meet together held in his honour.Justice Kumar informed that, if all proceeds as planned, the long-awaited Forbesganj Judicial Court under Araria judgeship is likely to commence functioning from the second week of May 2026.During his visit, Justice Kumar inaugurated a newly constructed record room meant for the safe preservation of disposed cases and other judicial records. Previously, such records were kept at the Araria Collectorate, causing inconvenience.
Notably, although the Araria Judgeship was established in 2014, the dedicated record room has been completed only after a lapse of over a decade.Justice Kumar also distributed wheelchairs to needy litigants within the court campus.Justice Kumar emphasised the need to reduce the growing pendency of cases. He urged advocates to attend to matters diligently, particularly in cases involving litigants travelling from distant areas. He assured the bar members that their genuine concerns have received his attention and would be addressed at the earliest possible stage.On behalf of the bar, president Ashok Kumar Pandey and secretary Kamakhya Prasad Yadav welcomed the Justice Kumar.
