Ghaziabad: The autopsy report of a four-year-old girl found dead under a car in Ghaziabad’s Teela Mor area on Saturday has confirmed that she was raped and murdered. Police said they were looking for her maternal uncle, who is the prime suspect in the case.The report revealed that the girl was brutally raped and then strangled to death, and pointed to more than eight injury marks on her body. The girl was taken for a walk by her uncle with the promise of buying her food and was later found dead under a parked car.DCP Dhawal Jaiswal, who holds the additional charge of Trans-Hindon, said more than five police personnel are working on the case. “We have multiple CCTV cameras in which the girl was seen with her maternal uncle, and some eyewitnesses also confirmed that they saw the girl alive for the last time with him,” he said.Police said they received a Dial 112 call around 8pm on Saturday about the child’s body being found. She had been missing for more than eight hours by then. The body was sent for an autopsy, and forensic teams collected evidence from the spot.The girl was the second of three siblings. Her parents work as daily wagers. According to the family, the child was taken from outside her home around noon, when only she and her father were present.
Her father is blind.The father said the accused was staying a short distance away for about a month and used to visit them often. On Saturday afternoon, he came to the house while the girl was sitting outside eating ice cream and took her away, saying he would buy her more things.By the time the girl’s mother returned home and realised her daughter was missing, the child was gone for some time. The family began searching the neighbourhood.Hours later, the family was informed by police about the body of a young girl. At the hospital, they identified her as their daughter.A family member alleged the accused, a resident of Muzaffarnagar, was a habitual substance abuser and had come to stay in the area about a month ago after a dispute with his wife and family. The relative also said CCTV footage recovered by police shows the accused carrying the child on his shoulders.An FIR was registered against the accused under Sections 103(1) (murder), 238 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offenders) and 65(2) (rape) of BNS and relevant provisions of the Pocso Act at Teela Mod police station.
