Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh govt has allotted 75 hectares of land to Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) at the Chitrakoot node of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor to set up advanced manufacturing facilities.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday handed over the land papers to BEL representative Manoj Jain. On the occasion, the chief minister said the Defence Industrial Corridor would open new economic and technological opportunities, promote local industries, and generate high-skill employment for young people. The project is expected to attract further investment and encourage innovation in defence technologies. Detailed plans regarding infrastructure development and project timelines are expected to be released in the coming months. According to officials, the initiative will help build a stronger defence ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh and position the state as an emerging hub for defence innovation in the country.
