SURAT: A female dietician was allegedly murdered by her husband in Gujarat’s Surat, with her body later found stuffed inside a wooden box at his old residence, police said on Sunday.According to police, the accused Vishal Salvi killed his wife Shilpa Salvi on April 20 and transported the body to an old house in Salabatpura area of Surat. He allegedly placed the body inside a wooden box and attempted to conceal it by pouring cement over it.Salabatpura police inspector RA Jadeja told TOI: “The couple lived with their son in Godadara area of Surat. They were married for 15-years. Accused had given a missing complaint of woman on April 20 with Godadara police. However, later he gave a letter to his son and disappeared from home. Based on letter, we traced the woman to his old home in Salabatpura. We have made various teams to nab the accused.” Further investigation is underway to ascertain the motive behind the murder and whether anyone else was involved in the crime or its cover-up.
