A bench of chief justice Ashutosh Kumar and justice Arun Dev Choudhury, hearing three PILs filed by the Assam State Council of Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Hirendranath Gohain and two others, decided to club them.Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for CPM’s Assam unit, said Sarma made controversial remarks even after the HC formally issued a notice to him on the issue on Feb 26.
