Gandhinagar, April 13 (IANS) Gujarat’s Cyber Centre of Excellence of CID Crime has dismantled an interstate mule bank account network allegedly linked to cyber frauds exceeding Rs 77 crore across 375 cases registered on the national cyber crime reporting portal, officials said on Monday.
Ranchi: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Sunday nabbed a home guard, Satish Kumar, in connection with the illegal withdrawals from the Bokaro district treasury.The CID on Monday said that Kumar has been sent to jail under judicial custody. It also said that he was deployed in the accounts section of the Bokaro SP. He was the accomplice of the main accused and accountant, Kaushal Kumar Pandey, who was arrested earlier.During investigation, suspicious transactions amounting to Rs 1.06 crore were found in Kumar’s account, out of which Rs 43 lakh was frozen.The CID registered a case under relevant sections of BNS and the Information Technology Act following the direction of the state govt. The agency has formed a special investigation team to probe the matter.
