Jamshedpur: The Army has deferred its plan to defuse a US-made bomb, found on the banks of the Subarnarekha river in East Singhbhum district on April 15, till Wednesday, police said.“All preparations were not in place. So it has been decided to defuse the bomb on Wednesday,” said Baharagora police station officer in-charge Shankar Prasad Kushwaha.Initially, safety and security arrangements were planned in a way to carry out the exercise on Tuesday, but Army officers later decided to postpone it.The unexploded ordnance, which weighs over 226 kg, is almost identical to the two AN-M64 US-made bombs found on the banks of the Subarnarekha.
