Jiri Prochazka had a very emotional week. Just hours after losing at UFC 327, he became a father for the first time. The former UFC light heavyweight champion lost to Carlos Ulberg in Miami, but instead of staying silent, he spoke about both his daughter and the criticism coming his way.
His message was personal, strong, and direct.

Jiri Prochazka went into UFC 327 hoping to become a two time champion again. He started well and attacked Carlos Ulberg’s leg early in the fight. But things quickly changed. Carlos Ulberg came back strong and finished the fight with a knockout in the first round.Soon after the fight ended, Prochazka received heavy criticism. Fighters, coaches, and fans said he made mistakes and let the fight slip away.
Some also questioned his comment that he showed “mercy” during the fight.
But just hours later, his life changed in a much bigger way. Prochazka and his partner welcomed their first daughter, Eleonora.He shared the news on X and wrote:“GOD BLESS. PURE, PURE POWER of love to the new born Eleonora, the firstborn daughter and her mother who today showed immense strength that I never knew she had.” The moment brought a mix of emotions.

While celebrating his daughter’s birth, Jiri Prochazka also made it clear that he is not ignoring the criticism.In the same post, he added:“Second: Till the end of this week I’ll do some comment for the bullshit I see here in social about my last fight, other hyenas around, and next step.”He did not stop there. He shared what he believes matters most, both in fighting and in life:“Main point in fight and also in life. Stay true to what you believe in, and be ready to FIGHT FOR IT and SACRIFICE WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO.”He ended his message with strong confidence, even after the loss:“THIS FOR SURE WAS MY TITLE FIGHT OF LIFE AND I FEEL LIKE I AM THE CHAMPION.”Before this fight, Prochazka had strong wins over Khalil Rountree Jr. and Jamahal Hill. Even though this loss was a setback, he is already thinking about his next step.Carlos Ulberg, on the other hand, made it clear after the fight that he is not interested in a quick rematch.
