During the floor exercise rotation, Ana Barbosu performed her routine for Stanford while Jordan Chiles stood close to the competition area.Chiles raised her hands, clapped along, and even moved with parts of the choreography. Jordan Chiles helped UCLA secure the win. She scored a perfect 10.0 on the uneven bars and won the all-around title with 39.700.Ana Barbosu also posted solid scores for Stanford. She earned 9.900 on the balance beam and 9.875 on the uneven bars.However, their names are still tied to the 2024 Paris Olympics floor exercise controversy. Barbosu originally finished third and was set to receive the bronze medal. Jordan Chiles finished fifth but later moved to third after her coach submitted a scoring inquiry that raised her score.The Romanian Gymnastics Federation challenged that decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), saying the inquiry came after the one-minute deadline. CAS agreed and restored the bronze medal to Barbosu.In January 2026, the Swiss Federal Supreme Court reopened the case after new video evidence suggested the inquiry might have been submitted on time. The court sent the case back to CAS, meaning the final decision is still pending.
