Actor Kushagre Dua is currently enjoying a dynamic phase in his career as he steps into a compelling negative role in Kyunki Rishton Ke Bhi Roop Badalte Hai, a spin-off of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. Portraying Vikrant “Vicky” Thakur, he says, “The show is surely a great opportunity that came to me. I feel blessed that Ekta Kapoor ma’am trusted me and found me eligible for this important role.” He adds, “Playing a negative role in the show is a big deal, as the role is equally important as the protagonist. Previously, too, I’ve played negative roles many times, and I loved the way the audience enjoyed watching me and appreciated my work.” Interestingly, this marks a shift for the actor, who was last seen playing a lead role in Prathaon Ki Odhe Chunri: Beendani. “Before taking up this show, I was playing a hero, but after the show went off air, I’m back to being a bad boy on screen again,” he says with a smile. “I’ve played such roles in shows like Naagin 7 and Mehndi Hai Rachne Waali, and many more—it’s always been exciting.” Talking about his current track, Kushagre reveals that his character will bring an interesting twist to the narrative. “I’m playing the third angle in the love story of Angad and Vrinda. The audience will enjoy the twists and turns.”
